She teaches Ashtanga and Vinyasa Flow yoga with a mission to assist her students in creating strength and a sense of well-being so that they can walk with freedom, confidence and beauty both on and off the mat. After years of struggling with weight issues and trying every diet and failing, Simone came across a plant-based raw food diet. She has always had an interest in food preparation & styling so she immersed herself in raw food ‘uncook’ books. There was so much variety and everything she made tasted great. It was a big change from a standard diet and transitioning was hard for her initially. But she believes that once you start feeling and seeing the results you wont want to ever go back. “I’m actually thankful for my weight problem, because it led me down this important path. I’m hoping my journey will help inspire others to take control of their lives and choose health and vitality.”

Leela, being raised a vegetarian since the day she stepped foot onto our planet, has had a not so common perspective on eating habits and life. Only since this past summer has she began her shift towards being fully Plant Powered and has been loving it ever since. This shift has allowed her to have even more energy to do the things she loves such as hoop dancing and the lyra. As a performer, Leela is aware of the need to look her best and cutting out all dairy from her already meatless diet has done nothing but good for her body and self esteem. Being in college at UCSD has inspired her to help other college students eat healthier. “Maybe all they need is to know that there are others going through the same battles.” Leela wishes you all Hoops, Love, and Health.
