Are you ready to kick the Coffee habit and not sure how?  Having fresh juice in the morning can help you!

I remember reading somewhere that having a green apple in the morning will wake you up better than having a cup of coffee… not to mention an apple won’t leave you feeling strung out a couple of hours later.  Here is an even better recipe to start your day off right:

Have some fresh vegetable juice!  All the minerals and vitamins found in vegetables (carrots and cabbage), leafy greens  (spinach) and roots (ginger) will nourish every cell in your body.   We all know that it is time to do something good for ourselves, here’s to a fresh start!

Ingredients:

Purple Cabbage

Carrots

Spinach

Ginger

Morning cup of Juice

Directions:

If you don’t already own a juicer, now is the time.  There are all kinds of designs and I’m not going to get into it.  You can get one for under a $100 at a store like Costco or even Target.  I have a simple Jack Lalane juicer, and it seems to be holding up pretty well.

The proportions for this juice are up to you!  I prefer a lot of carrots, a good handful of spinach and cabbage, and a little ginger (about 1 to 2 inches). I’m telling you, there is nothing like having fresh juice every day.

Morning Juice II

 

I recommend juicing the spinach, cabbage and ginger first, followed by the juicy carrots in order get the most liquid from each ingredient. Drink promptly after juicing and enjoy!
