This juice recipe is delicious, with a zinger of a kick to get your day started off with energy! After some yummy experimenting, I came up with this exciting and nutritious combination.
I started with oranges as a base because they are a great source of thiamin, folate, potassium, dietary fiber and vitamin C.
Apples add sweetness while delivering an antioxidant punch equivalent to 1,500mg of vitamin C.
Carrots are a wonderful source of thiamin, niacin, vitamin B6, folate, manganese, dietary fiber, vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin K and potassium. Studies have found flavonoid compounds in carrots help protect from skin, lung and oral cancers.
Finally I added ginger, which has powerful anti-inflammatory properties. It has also been known to ease cramping, muscle aches and nausea. Ginger is also helpful with cleansing your body and boosting your immune system.
Ingredients: (serves 3-5)
8-10 Oranges (med sized)
2-3 Apples (seeds removed)
1 two to three inch slice of fresh ginger
Remove apple cores and seeds before juicing.
Juice all ingredients and enjoy a zingy, refreshing glass of healing juice!
